Eddie Goldman keeps distractions out while college offers pour in

You wouldn’t think that a 6-foot-4, 305-pound 17-year-old needs protection. There’s a lot, though, that Friendship Collegiate football coach Aazaar Abdul-Rahim doesn’t want star recruit Eddie Goldman to have to endure over the next nine months until he chooses a college. More than 50 schools have offered scholarships to the Friendship junior lineman, according to Abdul-Rahim, and each wants to gain an edge on the others. He added that Goldman will trim his list of schools to about 10 by the end of May, but don’t expect Goldman to make a choice any time soon.
