Desmond Hubert's season ends, college decision looming
Posted Mar 12, 2011
Decision time is nearing for UNC's lone remaining basketball target of the 2011 recruiting class. 3-star center Desmond Hubert (6'9", 210, New Egypt NJ) finished his high school career Tuesday in a disappointing playoff loss and is expected to choose between North Carolina and Maryland in the very near future. Hubert has not given a specific timetable, but recently told PhillyBurbs that a decision will not be far off:
"No, I haven't decided yet," Hubert said. "Hopefully, I'm going to decide as soon as the season's over."
If Hubert chooses the Tar Heels, he would become the fourth member of UNC's 2011 recruiting class, joining SG P.J. Hairston, PF James McAdoo, and PF Jackson Simmons.
