More on Delvon Simmons and North Carolina
Posted Mar 10, 2011
UNC football coach Butch Davis and three of his assistant coaches came to McKeesport last Friday and met with recruit Delvon Simmons and McKeesport coach Jim Ward, but Simmons still doesn't want to play for the Tar Heels. Ward said today that despite the meeting with UNC's coaches, Simmons still asked to be released from the letter of intent he signed with North Carolina Feb. 2. Ward said UNC told Simmons it would release him to a certain list of schools, but "we have not heard back from North Carolina yet," Ward said.
