Joy burns bright on Franklin St.

The sounds of celebration were audible from North Carolina fans on Chapel Hill's main drag Saturday night with seconds still left on the clock in the Tar Heels' 81-67 win over archrival Duke. Fans formed a mob in the center of Franklin Street, starting a bonfire on the pavement and feeding the flames with T-shirts and newspapers. Some fans hoisted friends on their shoulders to record the action with their cellphones. (Durham Herald-Sun)
