Roy Williams offers 2013 PG Bronson Koenig


2013 point guard recruit Bronson Koenig (6'2" 165, Lacrosse WI), who is unofficially visiting UNC this weekend along with , received a nice welcome to Chapel Hill as extended Koenig a scholarship offer Friday evening, according to multiple sources.

Scout.com recruiting analyst Evan Daniels Tweeted, "Bronson Koenig was offered a scholarship from North Carolina. Just got off the phone with Ritchie Davis."

Koenig's AAU team, the Wisconsin Playground Warriors, also Tweeted, "Bronson Koenig (2013, 6'2", PG, La Crosse Aquinas HS) receives official scholarship offer from coach and the U. of N. Carolina!"

Recruiting insider and Tar Heel Times correspondent Coach Bill followed up these reports by sending in the following:

"I got a text from Koenig confirming (the scholarship offer). He also said that watching UNC practice was 'awesome' and that he got to shoot with Harrison (Barnes) and Reggie (Bullock) afterward.  Another quote: '() is a great guy...wow.'"

Bronson Koenig becomes the first player in the 2013 class to receive a scholarship offer from UNC.
