UNC women win while missing key players

Saturday, January 29, 2011

North Carolina was down two of its top post players before Friday's game tipped off against Virginia. Turns out the Tar Heels were just fine without them. UNC dominated the boards on both ends of the court and got a double-double performance from Laura Broomfield to beat the Cavaliers 64-52 at Carmichael Arena to bounce back from a loss at Maryland on Sunday.
