Georgia defensive back commits to UNC

Alphonzo Dennard, a speedy cornerback from Georgia, has decided to play his college football at North Carolina. Dennard, a 5-10, 190-pound senior at Wilcox County High School in Rochelle, committed after making a recruiting visit to UNC last weekend. He was offered also by Clemson, Alabama, Purdue and Troy. Texas recruited him. (Winston-Salem Journal)
