Shon Carson named one of nation’s top backs

Lake City standout Shon Carson has been named one of the top 25 senior tailbacks in the nation by MaxPreps. Carson isn’t just a great tailback, but one of the state’s top baseball prospects, too. The shortstop played on an AAU team that won a national championship over the summer. As a high school baseball player he’s pounded 38 homers since his seventh grade season and swiped more than 150 bases. He is considering South Carolina, Auburn, Clemson, Tennessee and North Carolina. That is, if he isn’t drafted as a baseball player. (Palmetto Football Talk)
