Heading into the 2009 training camp, the Giants were desperate to find a physically dominant receiver to fill the void left by Plaxico Burress. Enter rookie Hakeem Nicks. A year later, not only does Mr. Nicks look like a suitable replacement, but, by one statistic, he's one of the best receivers in the league. Mr. Nicks' average of 10.7 yards on his 74 targets was fourth-best in the NFL in 2009 and second-best among all rookies since 2000.
