Don't expect early high school graduation to become a trend in basketball

Elite high school football players can have their cake and eat it, too. They can complete their senior seasons, play in national all-star games and then head to college early for spring practice. As a power forward rather than a linebacker, though, James McAdoo did not have that luxury. He had to choose: have a normal senior year of high school, including the chance to be named a McDonald's All American, or earn his diploma this summer and head to North Carolina to help address the Tar Heels' shortage of frontcourt players.
