Hoops Recruiting Updates, May 25

As expected, former Alabama big man has decided he’s going to transfer to UNC. As a grad student, he’ll be eligible immediately to play out his final season of eligibility in 2010-2011. This is a good thing for UNC, but certainly not a recruiting coup. As Dave Telep noted, the fact that the Tar Heels and Georgia Tech were going so hard after someone who scored six points a game last year for the Crimson Tide, “says just about everything we need to know regarding the state of big man recruiting in the 2010 class.” (ACC Sports Journal)
