Whitney Sprague sparks women swimmers


Whitney Sprague repeated as the 500-yard freestyle champion, and North Carolina moved into second place after the second day of the 2008 Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Swimming and Diving Championships on Thursday at the Georgia Tech Aquatics Center in Atlanta. The Tar Heels also set a school record in the 200-yard freestyle relay at 1:31.34, breaking a mark that had stood since 2002. (Raleigh News & Observer)
