A down year all the way around in Chapel Hill

It hasn’t been the best of athletic years for UNC. In football, the Tar Heels lost to arch-rival N.C. State in the season finale and because of it, ended up in the Meineke Car Care Bowl for the second straight year. Things only got worse in basketball, where didn’t just lose to Duke twice and end up out of the NCAA tournament and in the NIT, but had to endure the indignity of watching the Blue Devils when a national title of their own.
