Carolina-bound Harrison Barnes named Iowa Mr. Basketball


Ames High School standout has been named Iowa's Mr. Basketball by the Iowa Newspaper Association. Barnes earned his third all-state honor in the 2009-10 season as he averaged 26.1 points and 10 rebounds per game for a Little Cyclone team that repeated as undefeated Class 4A state champions. Barnes shot 62 percent from the field and 43 percent from 3-point range.
