Dead woman was UNC student body president, Eve Carson

A young woman found shot to death in an intersection in the Hillcrest neighborhood early Wednesday was the student body president at UNC-Chapel Hill, police said today. Police identified the dead woman as Eve Marie Carson, 22, of Athens, Ga., a Morehead-Cain scholar and a senior. They have made no arrests. Investigators are looking for her stolen 2005 blue Toyota Highlander with Georgia license plate AIV 6690. (Raleigh News & Observer)
