Posted Dec 12, 2009
The fifth-seeded UNC men's soccer team entered its NCAA semifinal game looking to break top-seeded Akron's perfect record this season. UNC and Akron ended their game in a scoreless tie, but the Zips advanced to the program's second national championship game after edging the Tar Heels 5-4 in penalty kicks.
