(Not) Fouling Tyler Hansbrough
Mon Mar 10, 2008
Evidently, there is a new unspoken rule in ACC regular season basketball: Any given player is allowed 321 free throw attempts and only 321. That’s it. Remarkably, the Devils (according to referees Karl Hess, Ted Valentine and Roger Ayers) never laid a hand on the Tar Heel junior. Subsequently, Hansbrough did not attempt a free throw for the only time this year, and just the second time in his career.
