Casey Nogueira's Late Goal Sends Tar Heels To Championship Game

Senior forward Casey Nogueira's 13th career NCAA Tournament goal proved to be a lucky one as it sent the third-ranked North Carolina women's soccer team to the finals of the 2009 tournament as Carolina blanked fifth-ranked Notre Dame 1-0 Friday night before a crowd of 8,026 at the Aggie Soccer Stadium. UNC advances to play undefeated and untied Stanford (25-0) on Sunday at 1 p.m. EDT in the national championship game. (Tar Heel Blue)
