Hurricanes’ DeMarcus Van Dyke ignoring personal history with Tar Heels
Posted Nov 11, 2009
DeMarcus Van Dyke politely avoided talking much about last year’s game against North Carolina Tuesday afternoon. “That’s in the past,” said Van Dyke, the Hurricanes’ junior cornerback. “I got to move forward.” You can’t blame Van Dyke for wanting to forget. In last season’s 28-24 loss to the Tar Heels, Van Dyke allowed UNC receiver Brooks Foster to catch a 14-yard touchdown pass in the corner of the end zone with 46 seconds to play.
