James McAdoo, fresh off a starring role with USA Basketball's U-16 national team, will undergo surgery today to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder. The 6-foot-8, 210-pound McAdoo averaged 16.6 points and 8.6 rebounds in his team's gold medal-winning performance in the FIBA Americas Championships in Argentina three weeks ago. His father, Ronnie McAdoo, confirmed that James injured the shoulder while grabbing a rebound in the championship game.
