Linebacker Justin Maclin commits to LSU

Highly-regarded linebacker Justin Maclin from Memphis verbally committed to play for LSU Saturday during an unofficial visit to the Baton Rouge campus. Maclin, a nationally-ranked prospect from RidgewayHigh School, delivered his commitment to Coach Les Miles in person during a morning visit with the coach in Miles’ LSU office. Maclin, 6-feet-4, 215 pounds, with 4.5 speed in the 40, had Alabama and Southern California listed among his final choices from a group of official offers that included Tennessee, Ole Miss, Florida, Clemson, North Carolina, Illinois, Vandebilt and Virginia.
