Buccaneers sign Ryan Sims to new deal


Sims, who entered the NFL as a first-round selection (sixth overall) by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2002 draft, joined the Bucs in a trade before the 2007 season. He has played in 24 games with two starts for Tampa Bay the past two seasons. Sims has 32 tackles, including seven for loss, and has 2.5 sacks, two passes defensed and one forced fumble since joining the Bucs. (Tampa Tribune)
