Terps end Tar Heel womens' streak

Today might feel a bit strange for the North Carolina women's basketball team. For the first time since 2001 the four-time defending ACC Tournament champion will not take the short bus ride to the Greensboro Coliseum for the championship game. A 95-84 loss to top-seeded Maryland on Saturday knocked the fourth-seeded Tar Heels out of championship contention. (Raleigh News & Observer)
