For most humans, 3.2 seconds pass in the blink of an eye. For Ty Lawson, it’s an eternity. That’s all the time the junior point guard needed to dart down the court and connect on a running 3-pointer as the game clock expired. And while Lawson’s buzzer-beating heroics will soak up the headlines on Thursday morning, it was several key defensive plays down the stretch that put North Carolina in position to win.
