Roy Williams checks up on Roscoe Smith
Posted Jan 29, 2009
Rivals.com reports that Roy Williams recently stopped in to watch Baltimore phenom Roscoe Smith play during a recent high school basketball game. Smith, one of the top stars of the 2010 class, also had Georgetown Coach John Thompson III looking on last week.
The latest ratings place Smith on the elite level: ESPN.com grades Smith out at a 98 (out of 100), while Rivals.com and Scout.com rate him as a 5-star and the #2 rated small forward in his class.
Although Roscoe Smith already has numerous scholarship offers, the three major recruiting sites list some of his potential favorites as Georgetown, Connecticut, North Carolina, and Texas among others.
