Marcus Lattimore wins ESPN RISE's national junior award

2010 UNC running back target Marcus Lattimore sat in front of his TV for about an hour on Thursday as he waited to see himself on ESPNews. If his high school career is any indication of his football-playing future, it won’t be the last time his highlights will be shown on the station to a national audience. The Byrnes tailback was named ESPN RISE National Junior Player of the Year, and it was announced on the television network on Thursday afternoon. This was the second national award that he’s won, as he was named MaxPreps National Junior Player of the Year earlier in the week. (Spartanburg Herald-Journal)
