The third-ranked Tar Heels had been struggling to light that defensive match since returning from exam break nearly a month ago, but College of Charleston provided the needed kindling as UNC suffocated the Cougars in the second half of its 108-70 victory. While last weekend’s stunning defeat will leave significant scar tissue for this North Carolina squad, Wednesday’s contest provided the necessary outlet to allow the healing process to begin.
