Rutgers’ young guns may have a bright future, but Carolina’s veterans showed yet again why they are the NCAA’s present, holding off the pesky Scarlet Knights for a 97-75 victory Sunday at the Smith Center. With Tyler Hansbrough dominating inside and Tywon Lawson dazzling again in transition, the Tar Heels (12-0) showed minimal offensive rust coming off their week-long holiday break. Hansbrough led Carolina scorers with 26 points and 10 rebounds.
