Reserves Come Up Big In First Round UNC Women's Soccer Victory
Posted Nov 15, 2008
The University of North Carolina women's soccer team tallied a pair of goals in the opening 15 minutes of play and then benefitted from the play of reserves in the second half as the fourth-ranked Tar Heels defeated Western Carolina 5-0 in the first round of the 2008 NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament Friday night at Fetzer Field. Heavy rains in the Triangle area poured down through most of the game as both teams often found the footing difficult to deal with it.
