Sylvia Hatchell wooed by South Carolina

An agent representing North Carolina women’s basketball coach Sylvia Hatchell confirmed that the University of South Carolina contacted her about the school’s vacant coaching job. John Meadows of Ascent Sports Management said today that South Carolina received permission from UNC to talk with the veteran coach, who has spent 22 of her 32-year coaching career at the helm of the Tar Heels.
