Heels dismiss linebacker Wesley Flagg
Posted May 17, 2008
Wesley Flagg’s up-and-down career at North Carolina came to an abrupt end Friday when the Jack Britt High School graduate was dismissed from the Tar Heel football program. UNC spokesman Kevin Best said Flagg’s departure was due to a "violation of team policies." Flagg’s former coach at Jack Britt, Richard Bailey, said academics were the major issue with Flagg. "He blew it by not doing the things he needed to in the classroom," Bailey said.
