The Story Behind UNC Basketball's Miracle of ‘57

They accomplished the unthinkable. With head coach Frank McGuire, one assistant coach, one manager, and without a gym to call their own, the 1956-57 Tar Heels won 32 straight games. Only eight were at home. They beat Michigan State in the semifinal and Kansas in the national championship in two triple-overtime games within 20 hours of each other.
