's injury will give the chance to become the featured running back for the Tar Heels. McGill and Edwards were each expected to make major contributions in the UNC backfield this fall, but now the burden will fall entirely on Edwards, who arrived in Chapel Hill last summer after transferring from national powerhouse Louisiana State.
