By mid-June, Rashad McCants had signed a shoe deal with Nike and was in the process of working out endorsements with several wireless phone companies. His plans for a Web site, however, are on hold. "We're trying to get back my Web site, RashadMcCants.com," he said last week. "Somebody has that. ... Nobody [knows] who has it, but we're trying to find out." A computer search revealed the owner of the domain name as Luis Zavala of Whittier, Calif. Zavala, it turns out, owns hundreds of domain names, including those of several big-name basketball players.
