Rites of Passage: The Julius Peppers Project for Teenage Boys
Posted Jul 19, 2005
At 6-foot-6, most people find themselves looking up to Julius Peppers. But that goes double for a bunch of kids in the Carolinas who recently attended a program that Peppers put together himself. Rites of Passage: The Julius Peppers Project for Teenage Boys, is an empowerment program designed by Peppers to help urban teenage youths. It recently brought several big name presenters to Charlotte to speak before more than 200 kids. "My goal was to expose the (kids) to a group of positive men who they could relate to," said Peppers.
