Tar Heels nab speedy Britt LB
Posted Jul 26, 2005
Fayetteville Britt linebacker Wesley Flagg isn't as tall as many college recruiters would like, but he caught the attention of North Carolina coaches last weekend during a one-day football camp. The Tar Heels offered the 6-foot, 215-pound Flagg a scholarship after he was clocked twice in less than 4.5 seconds in 40 yards. Flagg, who has verbally committed, also recorded a 37-inch vertical jump at the UNC camp. The defensive leader for Britt in 2004, Flagg logged 120 tackles for a club that reached the state 4-A championship game.
