Matt Baker feels heat as Tar Heels' new QB

Wednesday, July 27, 2005

Baker is tall (6-3) and talkative, and he's aware that fans are talking about him, the central figure in a pivotal transition. "There's some pressure, of course," Baker said during the ACC preseason football gathering here. "There is. But pressure doesn't really bother me. I kind of like having the pressure on me. All eyes are on me. After sitting out for so long, it's nice to be in that spot." (Knoxville News Sentinel)
