Tar Heels near limit in football recruiting

John Bunting's eight-page packet of 2006 recruiting targets is dwarfed by the thick NCAA rule book sitting on a shelf in the North Carolina football coach's office. It is impressive in size, nonetheless, what with 300 players of interest listed. All the more impressive -- astounding even -- is that the Tar Heels have received commitments from 20 of those targeted players six months before letter-of-intent signing day.
