High expectations for Barrington Edwards

He has yet to take a handoff in a Tar Heels uniform, but Barrington Edwards is far and away the Tar Heels' top backfield option. Ronnie McGill, the projected starter from Clover, S.C., tore a chest muscle in the offseason and might redshirt. Vince Wilson, the top reserve after Edwards, is transferring. That leaves Edwards, a sophomore, and some freshmen to carry the ball. (Charlotte Observer)
