Looking back to look ahead


UNC enters its home opener with one big "M.O." ("missed opportunity") and an 0-1 record to show, facing a brutal stretch of schedule that will not ease up significantly until the Duke game. But the fears that this team might be simply inept, having lost its best players from both the offense and defense last season, would seem to have been eased by Saturday's performance.
