Normally a deep threat, wide receiver Mike Mason quickly has emerged as quarterback Matt Baker’s go-to target when he needs a completion to move the chains. And after Utah shredded the North Carolina defense on its first drive of the second half Saturday, Mason once again stepped forward with a big third-down catch to set up a game-changing score.
