Mike Mason is Tar Heels' big-play threat

With a comeback win over the Wolfpack, and another over Utah, the Heels are now 2-2. But it's hard to imagine where they would be without Mike Mason, a Rocky Mount High School graduate. "He's got a gift," UNC coach John Bunting said. It's more of a knack. Mason is becoming a big-catch receiver for the Heels in his junior season — the kind of player he always imagined he'd be coming out of Rocky Mount as the top receiver in North Carolina in 2003.
