Tommy Richardson plays key role

UNC linebacker likens his responsibility to that of a quarterback. He must know where everyone else on his team lines up. He must recognize what the opponent is trying to accomplish by simply looking at their formation and reacting accordingly. Few casual football fans notice Richardson’s job as the play caller for North Carolina’s defense, but it’s no less important than what quarterback does on the other side of the ball before a play begins.
