Challenge for Rashad McCants lies on defense

Saturday, October 08, 2005

"The one thing that will make you a player in this league is focusing on the defensive end, because he's going to be guarding Steve Francis, he's going to be guarding Kobe, Ray Allen," Timberwolves coach Dwane Casey said of Rashad McCants. "It's probably the most athletic position in the world." Defending the pick-and-roll was a particular problem for Minnesota last year, so learning how to do that successfully must be one of McCants' top priorities. (St. Paul Pioneer Press)
