UNC defense overwhelmed by Louisville

Sunday, October 09, 2005

Louisville thundered to a 69-14 victory in front of 41,334 at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium, scoring the most points that North Carolina has given up in 1,132 games since starting football in 1888. "I don't have words for this one," Jesse Holley said. "This was embarrassing - individually, collectively, all-around embarrassing. We hit the wall. We hit the wall hard. I hope each and every one of the players remembers this feeling." (Winston-Salem Journal)
