Rasheed Wallace Earns Chamberlain Award for Changing the Lives of Children
Posted Oct 13, 2005
Since Rasheed Wallace joined the Pistons in mid-February 2004, his presence has been felt both on an off the court. This season, he teamed with the Salvation Army to bring the coat drive to Detroit as well. He also purchased 25 regular season tickets to all 41 home games for his foundation’s youth ticket donation program, “Sheed’s Squad.” Not only has he brought his existing programs with him, Rasheed has worked to create new initiatives in the community, such as the “Rasheed Wallace Student Achiever Program” at Kettering High School.
