Tailback duo ignites UNC's running game


The cliché is thunder and lightning. The reality for North Carolina's backfield is thunder and ... well, more thunder. It's fitting because tailbacks and made plenty of noise Saturday against Virginia, combining for 170 rushing yards in the Tar Heels' 7-5 victory at Kenan Stadium. "I'm supposed to be thunder, and he's supposed to be lightning. But clearly my 40 time is a lot faster than his," McGill joked after gaining 118 yards on 23 carries. "We've just got to think of something else for that one." (Durham Herald-Sun)
