Ronnie McGill gives Tar Heels healthy running game

Wednesday, October 26, 2005

North Carolina tailback Ronnie McGill kept the thought of redshirting this season in the back of his mind heading into last week's football game against Virginia. He knew that, having only played one game, it was an option. His torn chest muscle had healed nicely, though, and the Tar Heels' ailing running game looked almost fully recovered, too, with McGill carrying the ball 23 times for 118 yards in a 7-5 victory over the Cavaliers.
