Up 16-7 against heavily favored Miami, with about four minutes to go before halftime, Baker hit wide receiver Jarwarski Pollock in mid stride 5 yards behind the closest Hurricanes defender. The pass was perfect. The result of the play was perfectly devastating for the Heels. The ball slipped right through Pollock's hands, giving the Hurricanes new life. They then went to beat the breath out of Carolina, 34-16.
