Defending champion North Carolina gets a lift from freshman
Posted Nov 5, 2005
In his debut Friday night, North Carolina's "Psycho T" demonstrated the appropriateness of the nickname his teammates gave him. "T" is for Tyler Hansbrough, the 6-foot-9 freshman forward who led the Tar Heels with 26 points in their exhibition opener as they crushed Fayetteville State, 94-58, at the Smith Center. "Psycho" is for the way he attacks every loose ball and rebound with the relentless energy that became his signature as a high school All-American.
